I’ve just accidentally discovered why you photo referenced Cat People with Inglourious Basterds - thanks to Indie 103.1. They’re playing the song right now. : )

  2. Cody says:

Inglourious Basterds is definitely a film that needs to be viewed more than a few times, it was so densely packed. Great film. And Junior Mints are the Citizen Kane of movie candy, by the power of Greyskull.

  3. Cat People! I have that on HD-DVD! (yeah yeah, I know)

  4. Red says:

Got to love the Junior Mints. I’ve never seen Cat People, was too young when it came out. But I’ve always heard that it’s very racy!

  5. shane says:

    best movie of 2009

  6. Jeremy says:

Both ‘Hurt Locker’ and ‘Ponyo’ are out in Toronto- any chance you’ll be catching those, Edgar?

    • Edgar Wright says:

Saw Hurt Locker last year and was blown away by it. Ponyo, I have yet to see. Still intend to see In The Loop and Food Inc. too.

      • pieface says:

hah theyve just showed a trailer for In The Loop - out on dvd here on monday. got the amazing Tom Hollander in it (who in his prettier moments reminds me of you for some reason).

don’t know why the Guardian was so sniffy about Inglorious Basterds

  7. Jenn says:

Absolutely brilliant movie!! Got my Tarantino fix…now waiting til SP to get my Wright fix!

  8. Saji says:

Good to see it has the junior mints seal of approval

  9. Dylan 37 says:

I saw ‘Ingloreous Basterds’ yesterday, brileant! I wana see it again to. well maby not the whole movie just the parts with the basterds.
My favorite sceane was the ditch sceane.
which was your favorite scean Edgar?

  10. Dylan Salcedo says:

Thats the 2nd time you’ve seen the movie. I don’t blame you, I saw it opening night and I want to see it another 3000 times. It was absolutely brilliant. The opening scene with Hans shooting the floor with the Ennio Morricone score had chills running down my spine. The cinematography was excellent, and as with QT films so was everything else. I Think this is one of QT’s best.

  11. Corey L. Jackson says:

Inglorious Basterds was so fuckin’ awesome. Tarantino is still one the two greatest filmakers of our generation. All these people who are bitching about the movie being too long are just being idiot’s.

  12. pieface says:

went again! praise indeed. and the juniour mints too. i went to see the same things couple of times in edinbro, i figure why not?

think i’ve seen Cat People on telly about ten years ago - are they all at an old house in the middle of nowhere? someone disappears, & someone else has their face off and all red?

anyways glad youve found time to relax a bit

  13. Sarah5636 says:

Can’t remember if i’ve ever seen Cat People, think i’ll add it to my Lovefilm list & check it out anyway, so was Inglourious Basterds even better second time round, im looking forward to watching it again at some point next week. :D

  14. SarahAC says:

Just saw QT talking about that Bowie song on an Australian interview the other night.

  15. The_Kid says:

Inglourious Basterds great movie, can’t wait to see it again.

  16. Casey Roonan says:

    See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
    Colder than the moon
    It’s been so long
And I’ve been putting out fire
    With gasoline

I was so excited to hear a David Bowie song in the new Tarantino movie, you’ve no idea.

  17. TravisMIlls says:

I saw Inglourious Basterds last night, its totally one of the best movies i’ve seen so far this year, it was BLOODY brilliant! (*emphasis on bloody) As for Cat People, it’s just a classic, Malcolm McDowell is the man, i’m looking forward to seeing Halloween 2 next week.

  18. Amber G says:

Round 2 of IB … Yeaha!

always have a box of junior mints around :)

  19. kimba2488 says:

Oh, that movie was so good. Tarantino always has the best female protagonists. Always these women who kick ass and take names or in the case of the Bride, I suppose took names down on a list and then kicked ass.

  20. joel vallie says:

Don’t you usually see movies on Sundays?

  21. Jessica says:

Went to go see Inglourious Basterds again, eh? That good? It seems like it is. Never heard of that other movie there though.

  22. joel vallie says:

Cat people now that’s a movie I have not seen in along time. I want to see Inglourious Basterds so bad but of course I live in Mexico so who knows when it will come out. Drag Me Down To Hell came out this weekend FINALLY.it was Awesome !

    • Lobsterdeth says:

Thank you for reminding us in every post of your current location.

Also, Tijuana-fag here, just saw Basterds yesterday, I love the border.

  23. Slick says:

Damn, I’ve not had Junior Mints in forever. Reminds me of that SEINFELD ep with Howard Sherman in it.

    • DaveH says:

I went to see Inglourious Basterds on Saturday Night at the Scotia Bank Theatre except i went to the 7:20 show and i saw Edgar leaving the earlier show.lol I didn’t have the nerve to go over and say hi though,

I loved Basterds too. It got applause from the audience afterwards. brad pitt and Christoph Waltz were amazing in it.
