Hey everyone. BUG is being guest hosted by Corin Hardy (replacing Adam “Count Buckula” Buxton for the night) and I am his special guest.
I have known Corin since I was 15 and somewhere in the ether is footage of us both on ITV’s GIMME FIVE in 1992. Find it!

Edgar is the special guest in a show of the most enjoyably horrifying and monstrous vids from the annals of modern music video – from well-known classics to lesser-known gems. That’s immediately followed by a Halloween costume party in the BFI’s Benugo bar – the audience are invited to attend in appropriate Halloween garb for the show and the aftershow party.

I love the caveat at the end, that “the audience are invited to attend in appropriate Halloween garb for the show and the aftershow party”. That makes me wonder how many inappopriate costumes have been worn before, and what, indeed, constitutes an inappropriate costume in the first place.
Sadly there is no Halloween Zombie Shuffle here in Melbourne this year, so we Melbournites will have to find another place to wear our appropriate Halloween garb. As always, the Northern Hemisphere seems to be rocking the holiday far more than Melbourne.

I have been trying like hell to find that GIMME FIVE footage, but alas, no luck. All I could come up with was a sort of opening titles clip from the show. Hopefully that’ll surface online eventually. Or I’ll stop sucking at searching for stuff on the net!
