Retro Blog: Cannonball Run 3 | November 17th, 2007

Hello there, I wanted to rescue some of my old MySpace blogs and archive them here on my own site. Over the next few weeks I will retroactively chronicle a particularly colourful period exactly two years ago. This was originally posted on November 17th, 2007.

So get this.

I am currently in New York and starting Monday am going to embark on my very own Kowalski episode.

That’s right, I’m going to drive all the way back to Los Angeles, just in time for the start of the New Beverly season.

Can’t wait.

First stop, Philly.

Then onto Asheville, Nashville, Memphis and hitting along the way Little Rock, Fort Smith, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Albuquerque, then maybe Flagstaff, maybe Phoenix, maybe Yuma…then back to L.A.

That’s the plan.

Thoughts welcome.

    I've never commented here before, but I find this “blast from the past” impeccably timed.

    This afternoon I arrived in New York, completing a road trip that began in Portland, OR a week and a half ago. My journey included several of the cities you mentioned. I traveled with a fully packed car, a rat that chewed through his travel cage, and a neurotic dog, so I'd imagine your trek was completed with a bit more style than my own. 🙂 Regardless - good times.

    Some of those myspace blogs solidified my admiration for you. They were very personable. I particularly liked the one where you locked your keys in the car with Blondie playing. Lulz.

    what a great idea, cos it would be heartbreaking if the myspace blogs disappeared through some tech disaster.

    I only 'joined' in feb 2008 so it will be fun to se what I'd missed (have already caught up with the mexico blog)

    Brilliant idea Edgar. Some of those old MySpace blogs were pure gold (or should I say Fried Gold?) and the US Road Trip blogs were the greatest! Can't wait to read them all again.
