How was the Depp Flick?!
awesome flick. tommy guns are making a comeback.
I hope you’re checking out some of the Fringe Festival while in town and not just going to the overpriced Scotiabank Theatre. I saw Blue Velvet at the Bloor last night - I know you did The Wright Stuff there.
This just come out in Mexico thinking about going to see it tomorrow. Is it an good people? let me know!
Squee! Filmed in my state!
…well… some of it….
I saw this the other day tooo. I thought it was prettty rad.
Am I out of touch or is $12.50 expensive for a movie? And shouldn’t that be a matinee? Even with the exchange rate, that ain’t matinee prices.
unfortunately, that’s standard here. in Toronto anyway. all the large cinemas are owned by cineplex, who charge 12.50, with the exception of the few massive AMC theaters, who charge closer to 14 i believe.
the independent cinemas are the ones that save us, usually charging $5 or less for considerably better films.
Free Movies and Food, alright!
Been wanting to see this for some time. I see there is no aspirin pictured above… must be good then?
ooh, so 2 tickets this week when last week was one…are these v subtle clues? edgar & guest.
so, if junior mints is a thumbs up, and advil is ‘ay ay ay i got a headache’ thumbs down (?) is this a hand tilt, meh…alright.
a review i read reckons depp miscast?
Movie Sunday! Yea! At least this one didn’t require medication afterwards.
I’d like to see Public Enemies but im saving every spare penny i’ve got for Comic Con, which i’m very excited about. I hope you enjoyed it Ed, i’ve heard it’s good
btw edgar - there’s a song called ‘comic book convention’ on a new album by gavin osborn.
it’s about geek love. just in case it might be useful to you (totally not in a grandmother sucking eggs type way!)
(apparently has the line ‘you had a soft spot for the works of alan moore’)
Good movie but the camera work/ lighting was atrocious. I’m not sure I like my gangster flicks shot like an episode of The Office.
I saw Moon yesterday and highly recommend it. Also, speaking of the Fringe Festival, Chelsea Manders “Naughty Little Children” is hillarious.
Oh …I wanna see that movie so bad..I hope it’s good.
Anyone here watch [Adult Swim]? I got bumped last night..it will air all week. This is the closest I’ll ever get to being famous lol. I was the bump with the pillows…..my name is I_Love_Zombies ..did anyone see it? So funny!
Have you seen Ice Age yet? Mr. Pegg’s in it.
That movie……………………………………. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..kick ass
How about camera of Dante Spinotti & acting of Stephen Graham as Baby Face Nelson?
This movie has a lot of things but what it did not have was a LIGHT SET UP ON SET!!!!!!! lol. What does Michael Mann thing hes doing? shooting a documentr?, an 80 million dollor documentry with non lit scenes. Very weird. for a 2 and a half hour movie i felt the pacing in the first act was pretty choppy. Overall A flawed but decent film.
