  4. This movie was damn brilliant. Very glad I decided to make the trip into Chicago for it.

Just saw the film in New York City, last night. My whole family, and, in fact, the entire audience thoroughly enjoyed it - start to finish. Great characters, and a nice re-invention of the staple ‘man vs. aliens’ type of movie. Some nice ‘ BOO !! ‘ moments & some really hilarious moments & dialog. Even some sly attempts at social commentary. This is a future favorite for my collection when it comes out on DVD !! See it !!

  6. darthstich says:

Any plans to be sending it to the Orlando, FL area? Lots of theatres like to showcase Indy films, and you got at least on big fan that would love to see this up on the big screen!

  7. Carey Pierce says:

They never have the good movies where I live…it’s all the same old crap here. I NEED to see this damn it!!

  8. Missed it at Fantasia, hope it has a larger release in Montreal!

  9. Carrie Nance says:

I wish this were playing at the Angelika in Plano.  I had to drive to Austin for Four Lions last year, too.

Oh well, I need some stuff from Waterloo Records.

  10. Gemi says:

awwww why no Portland OR on the list I want to see this.

Completely disappointed that it won’t be in New Orleans!

Hypothetically….  If I was a exec producer that was going to introduce the film, at say, Arclight…what time would that would be exactly?

  13. Please tell me where I can get that poster. You just made my year, dude. Moviefone loves you.

  14. Matthew says:

Love ya man and your films, but I can’t support a theater that treats films and those that love films poorly.

I am hoping that Attack The Block gets another theater in the Seattle area. I don’t know how things like “what theater should this film open in” get decided, but the Meridian 16 is the worst theater that I have ever been to. I will — no wait — I have spent an hour going to another theater in Bellevue before I will walk the 20 minutes to the Meridian 16. Or I will just wait for DVD. I won’t see free movies at that movie theater. If someone paid me $500 to go see an early screening of Fincher’s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,” I wouldn’t go to that movie theater. Well, I would, but I would cover my ears and close my eyes and wait until December to watch it on a screen that was worthy. That’s how I feel about “Attack The Block.” The Meridian 16 isn’t worthy of showing any film, much less a movie that has a 92% freshness rating at Rotten Tomatoes.

I’ve seen over 200 films in theaters so far this year (and we’re only in July). Not a single film has been at the Meridian. I avoid that place like the plague. The last movie I saw at the Meridian 16 was in 2007.

I saw SPvTW 36 times in theaters. Only one of those times was at a Regal run theater.

I would rather watch “Attack The Block” on a 13-inch Black and White television, than watch it at the Regal Meridian 16.

Just trying to say that I’ve been looking forward to “Attack The Block” and will support it as soon as I’m able to. Thanks for understanding.

When will this be invading Philly?

  16. Gutted that it’s US / Canada only, I’m a pretty broke student in New Zealand who would LOVE to see another work of art by you. It looks so awesome! D:

  17. J-Pix says:

This movie had several preview screenings in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I had the pleasure of attending two of them.  I loved the movie and think it’s the coolest alien-invasion movies in a long time.  As a Yank, I appreciated the British setting, I also liked the characters and the self-contained world of the movie.

    • Kimaceous says:

I totally agree - clever way to do a simple yet scary alien (I jumped several times-hard to make me do!), love the urban setting, and the heart and stamina shown by these young characters! Pleases see this as many times as you can!

  18. Smalljump says:

Looks like I’ll have to take a trip to the USA to see this movie in a movie theater (as it should be seen) as I did with Scott Pilgrim vs. The World the last year.

  19. AmberGrindstaff says:

I don’t live in the lucky 7 … but i will go and see ATB.. Promise!!

  20. I have been fortunate enough to see this movie twice already… and I’m hankering to go for a third time!

  21. Joel Vallie says:

Am I going to have to get on a plane and go to Austin…. Still thinking…. … …

  22. Laneatomic says:

Looks quite interesting. What’s with all the alien flicks this year?

  26. Are there plans for an Australian release? I’ve been really excited about it since I first heard it existed.

  27. Awesome, finally a reason to go to Sunset BLVD. That place is such a dump.
